My life got turned upside down when my boyfriend(Patrick) had a stroke seven months ago.We had been together for seventeen years.I had wanted to marry him, but he wouldn't marry me. He kept making promises of marriage...next year,one more year, two more years, there is plenty of time.I would have left him, but we own a home together.
Neither one of us beleive in sex before marriage, so we were waiting to get married before we did it.seenteen years is a long wait.He was in inpatient physical rehab for several months. During that time, I had a breakdown.I met another guy(Sam) in the hospital. My sister wanted me to go into another facility for further treatment, but Sam said that was"bullshit" because i would have lost my house and be forced to give my dogs away. I was too weak to take care of everything myself...
